Explorer and award-winning author, James Michael Dorsey returns to the library to revive his “BEFORE THEY VANISH,” travel presentation series.

James has visited dozens of isolated cultures in the world’s most remote areas; many that have no written language. Through vivid digital photography and master storytelling, James will introduce you to people and places much of the world does not know exist. Each monthly presentation will take you inside at least two varied societies.  

This program will explore Dorsey's expedition to northwest China, a land steeped in mysticism and the metaphysical.  The second half of the presentation will take the audience to Papua New Guinea to meet former headhunters.

James will be selling and signing his books about these travels and looks forward to answering your questions about how our fellow humankind lives across this planet.
