SUMMARY:Take a Deep Breath: Drop-in Mindfulness Practice
DESCRIPTION:"Mindfulness ... moment-to-moment awareness\, which is 
 cultivated by paying attention in a specific way\, in the present moment\, 
 as non-reactivity\, non-judgmentally\, and open-heartedly as possible." - 
 Jon Kabat-Zinn\n\nJoin a guided mindfulness practice every Tuesday at 12:30 
 pm. Arrive when you can and leave when you need to. 
 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRotating local teachers lead this weekly guided mindfulness 
 practice on Zoom. On the first Tuesday of the month\, it is offered on Zoom 
 and in the Monterey Public Library using chairs. Guided mindfulness 
 practices may vary from week to week between teachers. \n\nZoom 
 registration closes an hour before the program. Registration is welcomed 
 for in-person practice\; however\, it is not required. Zoom access 
 information will be sent to registered participants shortly before the 
 program begins. You may register once and participate every week with the 
 same Zoom meeting access information. Attendees are welcome to arrive and 
 leave at any time. \n\nTake a breath for our well-being and share this 
 intentional practice of cultivating awareness and connection. Together\, we 
 can create a kinder\, more loving world!\n\n\n\n\n\nWeekly Schedule

 at MPL and Zoom: Rotates between Yossi Beeri and Dr. Christopher Powell  
 \n\n2nd Tuesday Zoom: Rotates between Marianne Rowe and Marsha Malis\n\n3rd 
 Tuesday Zoom: Rotates between Monterey Bay Zen Center teachers Dr. Patricia 
 Wolff\, Robert Reese\, and Sara Hunsaker\n\n4th Tuesday Zoom: Rotates 
 between Oscar Flores and Rochelle Hall \n\n5th Tuesday Zoom: Community 
 Practitioners and staff\n\n\n\nYossi Beeri has been immersed in the healing 
 arts for over 15 years. His focus and training include Sensory Awareness\, 
 Gestalt Awareness Practice\, and Internal Family Systems. He spent several 
 years on staff at Esalen Institute in Big Sur\, California. Learn more at

 Mindfulness-Based curriculums: Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)\, 
 Mindfulness-Based Eating and Awareness Training (MB-EAT)\, and 
 Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Teens (MBSR-T). He has a master's 
 degree in education with a focus on child and adolescent development. Learn

 is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist\, with a private practice in 
 Pacific Grove since 1986. She has been studying and practicing meditation 
 since the 1990's. As founder of the Mindful Education Project\, she has 
 been teaching mindfulness to children\, youth\, and adults since 2007. In 
 2017\, she co-founded Monterey Bay Meditation Studio which now is giving 
 primary focus to cultivating conscious response and relationship in a 
 changing world through courses\, practice groups and community. \n
