Exploring the United States Census

Interested in searching for your ancestors? Join us for our All Things Relative: Finding Family at the Library, as we explore a different genealogy topic with Historian and Librarian Kathy Nielsen.  This month’s topic will focus on 1950 Census.  The 1950 Census was released on April 1st….72 years after it was originally taken.  Let's look at the history of the Census and what it can tell us about our ancestors.

She has been featured on Lisa Louise Cooke’s weekly YouTube program, Elevenses. She is a co-founder of the Monterey County Genealogy Society’s special interest writing group, Off the Charts.
