Drop-in Mindfulness Practice

Pause midweek with a gently guided mindfulness meditation practice followed by a brief discussion. All levels of experience welcome. Attendees are welcome to arrive and leave at anytime. The guided mindfulness practice is led by volunteer practitioners each week. See the schedule below for more information. You may register one time and participate every week with the same meeting access information. 

This program takes place on Zoom, or participants may join by phone. Registration closes an hour before the program. The Zoom access information will be sent to registered participants shortly before the program begins. Use of video camera and level of participation is determined by each person.

Katie Dutcher has been an educator since 2004 and has studied and practiced meditation and mindfulness since 2009. She is a Qualified Teacher of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) through the Center for Mindfulness. She is a co-founding teacher of the Monterey Bay Meditation Studio. Oscar Flores has been trained in three Mindfulness-Based curriculums: Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness-Based Eating and Awareness Training (MB-EAT), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Teens (MBSR-T). He has a master's degree in education with a focus in child and adolescent development. Learn more at www.respondmindfully.com

Marianne Rowe has been studying and practicing meditation since the 1990's. As founder of the Mindful Education Project, she has been teaching mindfulness to children, youth, and adults since 2007. In addition to teaching mindfulness meditation to individuals, Marianne also specializes in teaching intersubjective (or relational) meditation to couples and groups. Carolynn Schaut is a mindfulness meditation leader at California State University, Monterey Bay, teaching the KORU Mindfulness curriculum for emerging adults, to students, faculty and staff. She leads regular drop-in meditation sessions for the campus community for stress relief, mental focus and  general wellness. She is a graduate of the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey and has been meditating regularly since the 1980’s.

Yossi Beeri has been immersed in the healing arts for over 15 years. His focus and training include Sensory Awareness, Gestalt Awareness Practice, and Internal Family Systems. He spent several years on staff at Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California. Learn more at www.deepeningawareness.com.
