Student History Slam

Student History Slam

Calling all middle and high school students!  Are you interested in Monterey County History or do you know someone who is? The Monterey Public Library, in partnership with the Western Flyer Foundation, the Cannery Row Foundation, and the Cannery Row Company, is excited to invite all students and history buffs to the 1st Annual Student Monterey County History Slam on April 24, 2021, from 12 pm to 4 pm. Want to present? Contact us by March 15. Submit a creative, 10-minute presentation about a local history topic of your choosing. We encourage a variety of formats: PowerPoint, essay (filmed), films, or dramatic presentations. We will inform all participants by March 20 of their acceptance. Monterey County residents and non-residents are welcome to join!

To submit a presentation, contact Emily Gottlieb, Education Director, Western Flyer Foundation at emily@westernflyer.org
