Pride and Prejudice is a classic novel, first published in 1813, that follows the witty Elizabeth Bennet as she navigates issues of class, marriage and morality in Regency England. In particular, her complex relationship with the proud and wealthy Mr. Darcy. The story is a comedy of manners that explores themes of love, reputation, and personal growth, focusing on the Bennet family's need to marry off their five daughters for financial security.
