World explorer and award-winning author, James Michael Dorsey returns to the Monterey Library with a new series of adventure travelogues.

In his, “Off the Beaten Path,” series James will tell how he became a professional explorer and segued his remote travels through sixty countries into a successful writing, speaking, and photographic career. This series will take you to exotic places to meet people much of the world does not know exist.

In tonight’s show James will tell the story of his first major adventure and how it not only put him on a path of professional exploration but also led to a simultaneous career as a cetacean specialist, (Whales, dolphin, and porpoise.)

Each show will feature dramatic visual images and videos, and James will tell personal stories from the far reaches of the earth.

His books will be for sale at these presentations that will take place every three months, so please check the library calendar of events page to register as seating is limited.
