Join the University of California Master Gardeners of Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito Counties on December 21, 2024 for the third in a series of four workshops on Earth Friendly Gardening.
Earth-friendly Gardening is Master Gardeners’ advice for creating sustainable landscapes that benefit the broader environment and make things easier for the gardener. By adopting these practices, you can grow a healthy garden that is beautiful, in sync with nature, and less prone to problems.
The topics for the four workshops are:
October 26, 2024 Designing Your Garden
November 23, 2024 Improving Your Soil
December 21, 2024 Choosing Plants
January 18, 2025 Protecting Wildlife and Environment
Third Workshop: Choosing Plants (December)
What are the best plants to include in your garden? Which plants should you avoid? How do you get the plants in the ground and then, how do you keep them healthy? During this workshop, we will share a number of resources that will help you find plants that match your garden’s conditions and the functions you want the plants to serve.
