Cannery Row Days Talk: Steinbeck and Mexico: Considering Tortilla Flat

Over a third of Steinbeck's books and films are about Mexico, the country's history, people, and land. Tortilla Flat considers a small population of paisanos living on the fringes of Monterey. We'll consider its historical and contemporary impact.

Susan Shillinglaw (Professor of English Emerita, San Jose State University) will present Steinbeck and Mexico: Considering Tortilla Flat on Zoom, and be available for questions afterward.
