Writing Through the Dark Times

Writing Through the Dark Times

“In the dark times / Will there also be singing?” “Yes, there will also be singing / About the dark times.” Bertolt Brecht

November, the beginning of the holiday season, is supposed to be a joyful time. However, it can be sad and anxiety-producing for some people. In addition, we are living in a world that is full of conflict and unexpected hurdles.

In this workshop, you will access your imaginations, mining them for wisdom, images, strength and possibility. It is a time to “sing” your truth in the form of creative expression. The exercises are designed to bypass the critical mind and discover the treasures and resources below the surface of your everyday consciousness. Allow yourselves to access what is rightfully yours as a source of strength and surprise. Allow yourselves to discover joy and fun in your expression. Writers at all levels of experience welcome. Leave the critic at home and open to finding the light in the dark times.
