SUMMER SCARES: Horror Reading & Writing Workshop

SUMMER SCARES: Horror Reading & Writing Workshop

Join us in the Community Room at 4pm for SUMMER SCARES: Horror Reading and Writing Workshop in partnership with the Horror Writers Association. (For Teens)

We will be reading a selection from "Squad" by Maggie Tokudahall and Lisa Sterle. Bring your own "squad" to talk about the story, the horror genre, and take a stab at writing your own horror story. The writing can be done together as a group or individually!

In this fast-paced graphic novel, new girl Becca is surprised to be taken in by the most popular girls at Piedmont High, and then shocked to discover that they want her to join their werewolf pack that preys on predatory guys. Accompanied by bold, colorful illustrations, this compelling and timely story mixes horror, female rage, and a dash of romance as Becca finds herself questioning the group’s actions, and her own, as their quest for justice gets out of hand.
